Answers about YMCA
LAST VERIFIED OCT 6, 2026
What ages does the centre take, and how do I get a spot?
[ VERIFIED · OCT 2026 ]YMCA BC runs early-years programs for ages 0 to 5 plus school-age care for ages 5 to 12, and families register through the YMCA once a space is offered. Many locations take part in the province's $10-a-Day program, and fee-reduction discounts apply automatically at registration.
What help is available with fees?
[ VERIFIED · OCT 2026 ]The Affordable Child Care Benefit can offset fees once a child is formally registered, and staff help families complete the application afterward. Third-party payers can also be set up directly with the YMCA after registration.
What is the withdrawal policy if we need to leave?
[ VERIFIED · OCT 2026 ]Withdrawing requires a minimum of 30 calendar days notice from the start of the month. For September withdrawals from before and after school or preschool programs, notice is due by June 30.
