No. Most people come on their own and partner up at the class, with rotations so everyone dances and practices with different partners.

Any leather or suede soled shoe works for the first few classes. You can look into proper tango shoes later, once you are hooked.

Beyond group classes for all levels, the academy runs practicas and milongas, which are practice sessions and evening socials. It also offers private instruction, wedding choreography, and corporate event shows.
