Mary’s Brigadeiro

A brigadeiro is a traditional Brazilian chocolate treat, somewhere between a truffle and a caramel, made from condensed milk, butter, and chocolate. Mary's Brigadeiro was founded in 2015 by Mary, a Black woman who brought the Brazilian classic to Toronto and handcrafts each batch.

The shop sells brigadeiros in flavors such as salted caramel, cappuccino, white pearls, and passion fruit. It also sells chocolate chip cookies, gift boxes, party boxes, and seasonal chocolate items.

Yes, the shop runs a DIY chocolate workshop series at the Danforth store, with a session listed for August 27, 2026. The workshops teach guests how to make brigadeiros by hand.

The flagship store is at 1912 Danforth Avenue, and there is a downtown presence at Chef's Hall at 111 Richmond Street West. The chocolate factory at 76 Densley Avenue in Etobicoke is by appointment only.

Yes, the own site runs an online store, and the shop also offers Too Good To Go surprise bags plus ordering through Ritual. Takeout and delivery options are listed for the Danforth store.
