Across Boundaries

Services are free, and referrals are assessed through an intake interview to determine eligibility. You can self-refer, or be referred by family members, health workers, or faith groups.

Programs focus on racialized and Black individuals aged 16 and older in the GTA dealing with severe mental health or addiction challenges. A youth stream serves transitional-aged youth from 15 to 29 within a defined catchment area.

Support is offered in more than 15 languages, including Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi, Punjabi, Spanish, Tagalog, Tamil, and Urdu. The staff come from the communities they serve.

Programs include alternative healing such as traditional Chinese medicine, yoga, naturopathy, nutrition, and art therapy, plus a community kitchen and skills-building groups. Case management and short-term addictions counselling are also available.
