Prices run old school by dish, from 5.99 dollars small to 9.99 dollars special, with tea at 1.50 dollars a person. The whole operation is cash only, so bring bills.

Tak Fu is a small, cozy, old Chinatown style joint with no carts, so you mark a paper menu and the food comes steaming out. It is dim sum breakfast and lunch only, closing by 4 PM daily.

If you can wait half an hour, the steamed milk dessert is lightly sweet, perfumed with ginger, and rarely found anymore. It is the nostalgic finish to the meal.
