Karma Indian Bistro

Karma Indian Bistro is an Indian restaurant on West 4th Avenue in Kitsilano that has held a Michelin Bib Gourmand since 2023. The kitchen cooks North and South Indian food, from Punjabi tandoor and butter chicken to South Indian Chicken Madras and Chettinad, plus Goan vindaloo and Mughlai kormas. Karma opened in August 2022 and holds one of only a handful of Bib Gourmands given to Indian restaurants in Vancouver.

Butter chicken is the most ordered dish, tandoor-broiled chicken in tomato, cream, and butter sauce. The Chicken Madras, a South Indian roasted coconut curry with black mustard, is the dish diners single out, while the garlic basil naan is the bread people come back for. Roughly half the menu is vegetarian or vegan, with nine vegan curries and nine vegetarian curries, and every curry is cooked to order at four spice levels.

Hours are Monday through Thursday 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Friday through Sunday 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Holiday hours may differ, so call ahead on public holidays
